Description
A fiery sky dominates this urban landscape. The orange hues blend with the deep blue of twilight. The light descends upon the classical architecture of the buildings. The golden reflection dances on the calm surface of the water.
The composition is organized around a structured foreground. A dark railing crosses the canvas. Its regular lines create a rigorous frame against the movement of the sky.
To the right, a dark plant mass brings a natural contrast. The pictorial treatment favors broad and fluid strokes. The atmosphere suggests the serenity of an end-of-day in the city.
This oil painting captures a suspended moment. The chromatic palette opposes warm and cool tones with precision. The gaze travels from the shadows of the bridge to the brilliance of the horizon. This scene rests on a balance between urban geometry and atmospheric lyricism. The whole focuses on the play of the raking lights.
