Description
Acrylic asserts itself here as a vector of pure energy. The composition is in the line of lyrical abstraction. The gesture is free, fast, and instinctive.
A dialogue is established between contrasting blocks of color. Blue dominates the upper part, stretching into vaporous swirls. Below, dense greens intertwine with shades of deep purple.
The structure plays on a fragile balance. To the right, an area of pale, flat blue creates a visual breath. It contrasts with the material density of the center.
The work relies on the superposition of layers. The pigments intermingle to create a subtle relief. The drips and brushstrokes testify to a search for movement.
The whole emanates a brute and determined force. The dark tones anchor the scene while the bright flashes bring an airy lightness. This painting dated 2022 explores the relationship between emptiness and chromatic saturation.

Presentation
Alice Achen has painted for 20 years. She took a course for several years at Paris' Fine Arts School Atelier, taught by Martin Bissière.
The painters that influenced her are particularly Zao Wou KI, Rothko, Debré, Joan Mitchell.
She exhibits in some other European countries.
Alice Achen paints works that privilege the power of the expression of colour. In it, she mixes the unexpected of designs and the dynamism of compositions. Thus, she finds a language, in the family of Lyrical Abstraction languages and one can find the influence of this trend's great painters in her.
The face to face with the colours produces emotion, fugitive and complex, and the combinations of red, green or purple blocks create the feeling of energy and determination that come out of her creations.
