Description
The artist explores here the movement of fluids to recreate the immaterial landscapes of nature.
The gaze dives into a deep gradient of blues and violets. A dark mass occupies the center, evoking an abyssal abyss or a land viewed from the sky. Touches of white and silver filaments come to highlight the reliefs, like the foam of a wave or mineral veins.
The mixed technique combines glass painting and various materials. The work relies on the alchemy of pigments and gravity. Chance guides the hand to let the fluidity of the components express itself.
The whole exudes a contemplative serenity. The light seems to emanate from the heart of the painting, creating a sharp contrast with the areas of shadow. This 2025 creation captures the fleeting moment of a visual metamorphosis.
Presentation
The Abstract - Search and search again... Put water, ink, inks, matter, test, retest, tilt, blow, send, let dry. Wait. Let it happen, watch, start again... Contemplate the metamorphosis, the path of fluids. This is the search for the Abstract. Each time, it was a real battle with my canvas, but I had so much fun!!!
When we look at the earth from the sky, the images sometimes go beyond our understanding. But we only have to look around us and we see many similarities… One day, returning to the beach after a swim, I was amazed to see the traces of the water that had flowed away during the low tide on the wet sand. Magnificent pictures were offered to my gaze.
Mother Nature reveals to us landscapes so grandiose that we would never have dared to imagine even in our wildest dreams. No artist could match HER perfection. My quest today is to try to recreate conditions so that Mother Nature can work.
