Description
My whole live I´m living in cities and I like the positive, active energy of a metropolis which I want to show in my paintings. New York City is my favorite town instead I´m living in Germany.
As new style I use a combination of digital print with painting. I defamiliarize the photos of various city scenes and paint over them, after they were printed on canvas. This creates a contrast and tension between print and color, which I feel is contemporary representation in terms of today's media.
Each motif is max.10 times used as a background for overpainting.
The painting is available in different sizes.
