The artist looks for a path between tangled branches. Reconfiguring a personal archive of diverse Colombian landscapes, experimenting with a variety of printing materials to reconstruct a whole from these fragments, recreating a forest in the center of Bogotá. Wynograd also examines a historical archive of landscapes, the roots of his own vision. He believes that the old mimetic dream of photography is still alive. These exercises aim to weave a series of visual connections and reflect on the complex web of interdependencies between humans and nature. If there is a light of hope in the midst of overlapping crises, it is the awareness that we all belong to a whole. Perhaps these images can help in that reflection.

This captivating black-and-white photograph transports viewers to the heart of a dense, tropical jungle. Sunlight filters through the canopy, casting intricate patterns of light and shadow on the lush foliage. Towering palm trees dominate the composition, their grand fronds creating a natural cathedral. The rich tapestry of ferns and leaves in the foreground reveals the complexity and vibrancy of jungle life. Fog subtly envelops the scene, adding a mystical and ethereal quality, suggesting early morning or late afternoon. The monochrome palette emphasizes textures and contrasts, celebrating nature’s beauty in its raw, untouched form. This artwork is a masterful study of light, shadow, and texture, capturing the viewer’s imagination and inviting them to explore the serene yet wild environment. Its timeless elegance resonates, making it a remarkable piece that evokes a profound appreciation for natural landscapes.
