Description
This artwork presents an intriguing juxtaposition of textures and colors. Two bursts of turquoise watercolor envelop a central black-and-white band, where silhouettes of trees are delicately outlined. The fluid, organic forms of the turquoise evoke a sense of movement, contrasting with the rigidity of the branches, symbolizing nature in harmony and conflict. The shades of turquoise vary in intensity, creating a captivating visual depth. The composition skillfully utilizes negative space, enhancing the impact of emptiness and solidity. This metaphorical work invites the viewer to meditate on the paradoxical coexistence of tranquility and chaos, symbolized by the interplay between aquatic and terrestrial elements. The artist succeeds in capturing a natural essence with a contemporary approach, transforming a simple scene into a compelling visual exploration of duality and harmony.
Technique and support: Semi-matte photo paper print, glued onto cardboard 50 x 40 cm, unframed.
