Moon initially began her career as a model, using the name Marielle Hadengue in Paris and London. However, by 1970, she transitioned into photography, adopting the name Sarah Moon, a move that would solidify her reputation as one of the most innovative and influential photographers in the fashion world. Moon's photographs are renowned for their ethereal, almost dreamlike qualities, often incorporating jewel tones, soft focus, and a sense of magical realism.
