Description
After Richter | AR_10_IMG_8144_2026 belongs to the series in which Hester continues her research around color, perception, and the construction of the photographic image.
Organized in three horizontal chromatic fields, the work associates deep transitions of blue and green with a particularly luminous yellow, before ending with a sequence of magenta, blue, and yellow. The precision of the geometric composition contrasts with the fluidity of the gradients and creates an image whose perception evolves with the gaze.
At the border between photography and abstraction, Hester uses light, color, and reflection as true compositional materials. Photography is no longer just a means of representation: it becomes a perceptive, almost architectural surface.
The series is part of an assumed dialogue with Gerhard Richter's research on color, while developing a photographic language specific to the artist, based on light, the movement of the gaze, and the sensory experience of the image.

Presentation
Known for combining artistic vision with technical precision, Hester transforms urban structures into doors of reflection. With a background in electrical engineering, architecture, and art history, her photographs go beyond superficial aesthetics and invite viewers to question our perception and occupation of space.
From Concrete Perspective (2012) to Architecture Éphémérè (2024), Hester's work consistently redefines the dialogue between art, science, and emotion. Exhibited internationally, from Art Wynwood and Pinta Miami to the Rencontres de la Photographie d'Arles, including recent exhibitions in Sweden and France, her practice presents itself as a bold exploration of perception and memory.
