Description
Bernard Biancotto, Loulou Cassis
France  • 1953

Presentation

Born in West Africa in 1953, Bernard Biancotto returned to Europe in 1966 where he studied in a Swiss boarding house for 3 years before finally coming back to Marseille near the sea.

He practices water sports there; Surfing, Windsurfing, Fishing ... while discovering a passion for photography that he applied a few years later to these new sports in order to travel!

These deliberately graphic images are the result of many hours of b & w development spent cropping and correcting the framing errors of these first photos, the best school according to him to arrive at instinctively making the right optical choice in any situation!

A good part of these aquatic images are carried out by swimming with a waterproof case enclosing a 35 mm case in order to be as close as possible to the action and to lose the horizon or also by fixing a case on the support of the action triggered remotely with a model aircraft remote control.
