This provocative artwork portrays a surreal juxtaposition of human and nature. A nude figure is curled around a large rock, their body meticulously folded, evoking themes of vulnerability and confinement. Above, a fish hovers, seemingly suspended in time and space, its presence both unexpected and symbolic. The contrast between the grounded, tangible human form and the ethereal fish suggests a dialogue between earthbound reality and the freedom of the aquatic realm. The stark minimalism of the gray backdrop amplifies the surreal quality, focusing attention entirely on the figures. The meticulous detail of the human form and the fish's shimmering scales invites contemplation on the interconnectedness of life forms. This piece challenges viewers to explore themes of isolation, connection, and the surreal possibilities of existence.
"La Piedra Sustituta" Series Showing a body that is hidden is the aesthetic apology for the insane judgment that the artist himself has taken as an excuse for not being "pointed at" or rather as self-pointing. The stone is taken by the body that is unprotected as a metaphor for the weakness that seeks protection, and the body is taken by the stone as a consequence of an insecure state, how can a stone take a body? If this is the one that "institutionally" does it.
