This striking artwork features a muscular, bare-chested individual against a vivid red background, emanating a powerful and surreal aura. The figure is adorned with a dramatic blonde wig and a crown of bananas, juxtaposing natural and artificial elements. Their hand firmly grips a large, rugged rock, symbolizing strength and resilience. Above the figure hovers a handgun, centrally placed, flanked by floating bananas, adding a touch of absurdity and tension. The bright red backdrop enhances the visual intensity and symbolizes passion or danger. This composition masterfully blends elements of surrealism and pop art, challenging traditional perceptions of identity, power, and surreal juxtaposition. The unusual and thought-provoking arrangement commands attention, encouraging viewers to explore themes of vulnerability, strength, and societal norms.
"La Piedra Sustituta" Series Showing a body that is hidden is the aesthetic apology for the insane judgment that the artist himself has taken as an excuse for not being "pointed at" or rather as self-pointing. The stone is taken by the body that is unprotected as a metaphor for the weakness that seeks protection, and the body is taken by the stone as a consequence of an insecure state, how can a stone take a body? If this is the one that "institutionally" does it.
