Archival pigment ink print on canvas

Edition of 12

This artwork features a strikingly vibrant and surreal urban canal scene. The composition is dominated by an intensely colorful palette that deliberately distorts reality, drawing the viewer into an otherworldly dimension. The canal leads the eye towards the vanishing point, creating a sense of depth and movement. On either side, classic architectural buildings, rendered in shades of electric blue and neon pink, line the waterway, conveying a balance between urbanity and nature. The sky is a dramatic fusion of fiery oranges and deep magentas, with clouds catching the vivid hues, while the sun, a bold, glowing sphere, hovers near the horizon, anchoring the composition. The reflection of this kaleidoscope of colors dances on the water's surface, enhancing the dreamlike quality of the scene. One unique aspect is the way trees along the canal are depicted in iridescent shades, contrasting with the richly saturated architectural details, suggesting a dialogue between the organic and the man-made. The choice of colors and inversion of natural tones challenge perceptions, inviting viewers to explore the interplay of light and shadow in an unconventional yet captivating manner. Overall, this artwork commands attention with its avant-garde use of color and surreal interpretation of an urban landscape, making it a provocative feast for the senses.
