Archival pigment ink print on canvas

Edition of 12

This artwork presents a striking and surreal landscape, immediately capturing the viewer's attention with its bold color inversions. The scene depicts a tranquil river flowing through an urban setting, bordered by a row of trees and buildings. The most captivating element is the sky, rendered in a deep, otherworldly red, against which a prominently luminescent moon hangs, giving the entire composition a dreamlike quality. In this image, the trees lining the riverbank possess an ethereal, almost ghostly appearance, their colors inverted to create a stark, white-blue effect. This choice of palette transforms the mundane into the extraordinary, suggesting a world that subverts natural expectations. The river itself reflects a pale hue, mirroring the unusual sky and contributing to the surreal atmosphere. The buildings along the river are depicted with meticulous attention to detail, their geometric forms enhanced by the high-contrast inversion. This contrast between natural and man-made structures is emphasized by the artwork's unique color scheme, creating a sense of harmony within the juxtaposition. Overall, this piece stands out for its imaginative use of color and light, crafting a scene that feels both familiar and alien. It invites viewers to reconsider their perceptions of reality, invoking a sense of wonder and curiosity about the depicted world.
