Description
This artwork presents a striking interplay between stark black and pristine white, capturing a minimalist yet dynamic landscape.
The bold silhouette of trees stretches across the lower portion, their jagged outlines sharply contrasting against a vast, white sky. Above, an imposing black cloud formation encroaches from the left, its irregular shape adding a sense of movement and drama. The use of high contrast engenders a feeling of timelessness and introspection, inviting the viewer to interpret the scene beyond its monochromatic simplicity.
This piece challenges traditional landscape perceptions, emphasizing form and negative space. Its unique composition and bold, graphic style evoke contemplation, drawing attention to the beauty found in simplicity and shadow.
Presentation
JOLANTA BABICZ (born in 1967)
In 2009 she graduated from the Artistic Department of the University of Humanities and Economics in ?ód?. The subject of her B.A. thesis was computer graphic design. She helds a master degree in Fine Arts.
Currently, she is practicing primarily graphics (linocut). She believes that anyone can become a creator of new techniques in graphics, because it is an area in which experiments are still possible. She would also like to try drawing, because she claims the lack of patience for painting. Her biggest inspiration is nature and everything untouched by man, natural. In nature, she is looking for beauty, which then is imprinted in her etchings.
