Description
The image stands out through a radical contrast. Against a deep black background, a stylized feline face captures the gaze. The structure recalls the art of Japanese folding. It becomes here a support for a graphic explosion. The aesthetic borrows heavily from street art codes. Colorful graffiti, dynamic lettering, and urban symbols cover every facet. The line is nervous, precise, and saturated. The colors clash enthusiastically, creating a sustained visual rhythm. The playful aspect dominates the composition. Two large black eyes, perfectly spherical, bring a touch of naivety to the whole. This juxtaposition between geometric rigor and the chaos of tags creates a singular balance. This 2026 creation uses the digigraph technique. The digital rendering allows for absolute sharpness of the contours and maximum chromatic intensity. The whole merges the architecture of paper and the spontaneous energy of the city walls.
Presentation
Maxime Blachère is an atypical artist from Savoy, now living near Lyon and present in 25 countries and several art galleries in Europe and the US. Maxime Blachère's universe is filled with humor and saturated colors.
Self-taught and versatile, his sources of inspiration are multiple. Comics, pop culture, photography and of course Street-art.In phase with the Fluxus movement, he uses and mixes the codes of the environments that inspires him and of the artists he meets to give free rein to his imagination and deliver offbeat works, sometimes naive, sometimes subversive, like his series of works "Vandal is color" where Maxime takes pleasure in virtually vandalizing urban landscapes around the world.
