Description
This composition transforms the city of light into a chromatic playground. The gaze embraces an urban panorama where the Eiffel Tower rises at the center of an organized chaos. The artist superimposes graffiti and colored lettering on the Haussmannian architecture.
The style precisely mixes the codes of Pop Art and Street art. Touches of Posca and pigment ink come to saturate the space. The acrylic technique on canvas creates a striking contrast between the rigor of the Parisian landscape and the freedom of virtual vandalism.
The approach is playful and subversive. Each building becomes a support for spontaneous expression. The bright colors oppose the bluish tones of the sky and facades. The result offers a contemporary and offbeat reading of an iconic place.
This 2026 creation plays on the superposition of visual layers. It captures the raw energy of urban culture applied to a classic setting. The detail of the inscriptions emphasizes a desire for the reappropriation of public space.
Presentation
Maxime Blachère is an atypical artist from Savoy, now living near Lyon and present in 25 countries and several art galleries in Europe and the US. Maxime Blachère's universe is filled with humor and saturated colors.
Self-taught and versatile, his sources of inspiration are multiple. Comics, pop culture, photography and of course Street-art.In phase with the Fluxus movement, he uses and mixes the codes of the environments that inspires him and of the artists he meets to give free rein to his imagination and deliver offbeat works, sometimes naive, sometimes subversive, like his series of works "Vandal is color" where Maxime takes pleasure in virtually vandalizing urban landscapes around the world.
