And between them, a piece of pink fabric covered with skulls that transforms an apparently sweet scene into a deeply contemporary image.
With , RNST presents a particularly seductive work, on the border between Street Art, popular culture, portrait, and graphic poster.
At first glance, the image seems almost tender.
A young woman and a little girl are getting closer.
The faces are expressive, the gazes direct, almost complicit.
But something disturbs.
The pink scarf worn by the young woman is covered with small skulls.
The contrast is striking.
On one side: childhood, sweetness, spring, complicity.
On the other: death, anxiety, the upheavals of the contemporary world.
And above this scene appears a phrase that resonates as an obvious truth:

Spring will never be the same.
A phrase that can be read as an observation, a nostalgia or even a form of resistance.
Two gazes. A childhood. A changing world.
With , RNST transforms a scene of complicity into an image that is both poetic and unsettling. The pink scarf covered with skulls cracks the apparent sweetness of the portrait and reminds that innocence does not protect against the world around us.
Presentation
Street actor and screen-graffiti artist since the mid-1990s, fan of alternative cultures, RNST explores and has fun with urban art in forms as diverse as graffiti, poster creation, collage and stencils. From 2009 he officially reinvested in the streets around intense work with stencils and gluing of screen prints. His workshop is a street outpost in which he mixes recipes, colors and genres. RNST's speech and work are imbued with two constants: provocative and romanticism. This graphic activist reminds us that current events and public space must not escape us and this is where the artist comes to position himself.
