Description
The gaze gets lost in a complex assembly of materials. The paper, torn and superimposed, creates an organic relief. Fragments of texts and isolated letters emerge from the chaos. Some characters recall the Cyrillic alphabet, while others evoke modern codes.
The color palette remains sober. It oscillates between off-whites, ash grays, and touches of deep black. This neutrality emphasizes the raw texture of the surfaces.
The artist explores here the notion of trace and erasure. Each layer reveals a piece of urban history, like a wall where posters succeed and degrade one after another. The composition plays on sharp contrasts between empty areas and areas saturated with information.
The work with the material brings a tactile dimension to the creation. The irregular edges and discolored areas suggest the passage of time.
Original work created in 2013. This limited edition, made in September 2026, is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Pearl 320 g/m² art paper. It is signed and numbered 1/10 on the front.
