Description
This work was made to represent the symbol of the butterfly in all its most beautiful. The strength, the beauty but also the fragility of these living beings are honored through this achievement.
The name "mentibus viatores" means "travelling spirits" in Latin. They represent the journey, guided by natural instinct.
The artist wishes to immerse us in his passion for animals by reminding us that this reveals itself to be as beautiful as it is fragile.
This wall sculpture is the smallest in the collection, it has several types of apple green, shiny, sparkling and streaky threads.
It is also made of gold-colored threads of the same composition.
The colors used bring a powerful artistic character to the work without transforming its primary nature.
The work is composed of aluminum wires of different shiny and sparkling aspects

Presentation
Tom Alexis Robert was born in St-Nazaire in 1992.
It was after working on his passion for Fauves as an animal trainer that he left this job in 2017 to devote himself full-time to his other passions.
He discovered aluminum wire by chance and created "Indian Head" in 2012. It was not until 2018 that he started as a sculptor and founded L'Art et la Matière.
Tom Alexis Robert had the chance to appreciate Art very early on, to carefully observe the great works of yesterday. They have always transmitted a direct emotion to him.
It is through the colors, shapes and details that the artist wants us to appreciate or not the work visually, whether abstract or figurative.
He thinks beauty or ugliness can be just as powerful as ideology. It is in all this that he draws his inspiration, he likes that we can appreciate his works or not just by discovering them.
