Old Childhood Dream

The figures of Lieven D'Haese sometimes look like characters playing a role in forgotten stories. He takes us on a journey, a childhood memery, an adventure into the wild nature…, with a lot of delicacy and poetry. This is the artist's genius in wandering us through a mysterious and sometimes dreamlike space, and remind us the child remains in our hearts to return to our initial dreams... All of the artist's figures are men or children. It is always very difficult to imagine their ages and this is the artist's genius in wandering us through a mysterious and sometimes dreamlike space time. Youth symbolizing hope, and old age illustrating wisdom, ..

Lieven D'Haese plays at blurring the lines. Lieven Haese’s works are touching, human and reveal a very positive message to those who know how to look at them. They are unique in their genre, the artist’s signature is very unique.
