Description
Iron with black nourishing wax patina.
This captivating sculpture, made of black metal, is distinguished by its fluid and abstract lines, evoking a harmonious symmetry. It features two bird-like forms, joined in a central embrace, their elegantly curved contours creating a sense of movement and connection. The circle that surrounds them reinforces the idea of unity and continuity, perhaps symbolizing a cycle or universal harmony. The clean cut of the metal gives the whole a modern aesthetic, while the oval base highlights the structure. The shadow cast by the work adds an additional dimension, transforming the work into a dynamic exploration of form and light. This piece engages not only with its striking visual presence, but also with its deep symbolism that is open to interpretation.
Presentation
Born in Albi in 1965, she spent much of her life exploring various artistic practices with a specialization in sculpture and engraving.
His career was marked by a turning point in 2016 after a serious health problem which pushed him to devote himself entirely to his Art.
His works reflect a dialogue between contrasting materials, such as paper and iron, and address themes such as the passage of time, memory and human relationships.
His project "only stories" is emblematic of this approach, evoking intimate and universal stories through abstract and figurative forms.
