Description
Work No. 2/30
This bold artwork features two stylized figures, expressed through a vibrant use of color and geometric shapes. The creatures, with rectangular faces and simplified details, captivate with their large, expressive eyes and elongated trunks. The bold palette mixes shades of green, blue, pink, and yellow, creating a dreamlike and playful atmosphere. Black lines sharply delineate the shapes, adding a striking graphic dimension. This work plays with symmetry and asymmetry, evoking an aesthetic similar to that of art brut. The background, rich in patterns and gradients, intensifies the visual depth, while spontaneous strokes impart a dynamic energy. This ensemble reflects a fusion of vibrant modernism and artistic naivety, inviting the viewer to explore an abstract and imaginary world.
Presentation
SmaK-titi is a French self-taught street artist. He discovered street art in USA during the 90's in New York and Chicago. This is when his initial work was exhibited on Broadway avenue. He then moved to France.
Smak-titi's universe revolves around pop art and raw art. It's filled with imaginary and colored characters, with unique personalities. Bright fluorescent colors put dynamism and depth in the limelight.
Smak-titi has moved back to France and regularly exhibits there but also in European galleries.
