Description
This artwork is distinguished by its geometric design and contrasting colours. It features a central square in soft peach, which serves as a backdrop and is pierced by four white circles, creating an open effect that immediately draws the eye. Around this square, black shapes meander, intertwine and escape with an almost organic fluidity, adding complexity and depth to the whole. The interplay between the black lines and the circles creates an intriguing visual dynamic, while maintaining a minimal elegance. In this piece, the simplicity of the forms and the nuances of colour come together to produce a visually stimulating and conceptually rich composition.
Presentation
Martin Singer is a contemporary French artist whose artistic journey began when he left Fine Arts in the 90s. His passion for painting has always been the driving force behind his creation.
Committed to questioning his favorite medium, he managed to work on the mode of his presentation most often implemented, which is the frame. But beyond the frame, more general questions become clearer: the off-screen, the border, the inside-outside.
Most often, the artist makes his frames himself with the precision of an artisan carpenter, a frame that he polishes, varnishes or paints according to the needs of the project. This handmade work gives each work a unique, personal and very original look.
