Description
This captivating modular sculpture appears initially ovoid in shape, adorned with intriguing black and red patterns on a white surface. It evokes a dreamlike universe, where natural and abstract elements blend. The contrast between the detailed black patterns and the bright red circles creates a striking dynamic. At the base, organic shapes resemble mushrooms emerging from an imaginary ground, adding a surreal dimension. The top is decorated with cloud-like shapes and swirls, suggesting an upward movement. The limited but bold palette intensifies the visual impact, accentuating the mysterious aspect of the work. This piece encourages exploration, with every angle and modulation—and there are thousands of them—offering a new discovery. Jean-Paul Boyer is a French artist born in 1942.
After several years inspired by classical scultpture and countless visits to the museum, Jean-Paul Boyer started creating his own pieces composed with thin, superimposed and adjustable elements in 1989 in this way he made his own style.Working with glass, wood, marble, iron, bronze and stone, his sculptures always revolve around an axis.
Women are his favorite subject, Jean-Paul Boyer's sculptures invite those who wish to modify them, to create new shapes by removing or rotating parts. Jean-Paul Boyer creates modular sculptures.
His pieces have been exhibited in France and abroad in Germany, Spain, Belgium, China, Great Britain, India and Turkey.
