Description
This captivating sculptural work is distinguished by its bold use of geometric shapes and vibrant colors. Composed of circles, rectangles, and semicircles, it incorporates shades of yellow, purple, gray, and blue, providing a powerful visual contrast. The dynamic arrangement of elements projects a modern and balanced harmony, with each piece appearing to float independently while contributing to a cohesive whole. The careful layering of shapes creates an illusion of depth, inviting the viewer to explore the interactions between the different layers. This exemplary work of abstract geometry attracts with its originality and precise execution, elevating simple forms to a remarkable artistic level.
Presentation
Thierry Corpet - French artist born in 1965, lives and works in Corsica
At the crossroads of visual arts and music, Thierry Corpet draws inspiration from William Burroughs' "cut-up" technique to create hybrid works, where superimpositions and geometric forms translate the emotions arising from listening. Without claiming synesthesia, he seeks to capture the ephemeral and give tangible form to what is usually perceived by the ear.
Each canvas, each sculpture becomes his visual score — an invitation to see his perception of music, to feel the forms and to listen with the eyes.
His work is regularly exhibited in France and internationally. In particular, it was presented at the "Comparaisons 2026" exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, in the Geometric Abstraction group.
