Description
This bronze sculpture depicts a standing cheetah, capturing the animal's power and elegance. The detailed texture of the bronze subtly mimics the feline's muscles and skin, accentuating its slender anatomy and long legs. Its gaze is turned slightly to the right, giving the impression that it is observing something in the distance, while its downward-curved tail adds a touch of dynamism to the pose. The sculpture rests on a rectangular bronze base, emphasizing its noble and timeless character. A beautiful tribute to the cheetah's speed and grace.
Presentation
Isabelle Carabantes was born in 1965 in Paris.
She learns sculpture in different workshops and studies modeling from a live model, working on volumes in space, axes and planes, at the Ateliers des Beaux Arts de Paris in Philippe Jourdain's workshop.
The artist, mainly focused on the animal world, does not choose to work as a naturalist. After having previously studied the anatomy and social life of her subjects, she deviates from it for a spontaneous realization. It is a question of capturing an emotion, of stealing a moment of life with all the strength and the wild beauty of her subjects. Her modeling vibrates with an energy both powerful and delicate, that of a wild and threatened allegorical world: ours.
