Description
Sculpture on handmade Lecce stone, designed and created by the artist Andrea Serra. The sculpture "The Player of Hearts" represents the emotions and passions that are common to all people regardless of their social or personal cultural difference.
The processing of this work is entirely carried out by hand on this stone which is found only in very few areas of southern Italy, i.e. in the lower Salento in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, rich in plant and animal fossils dating back several million years, makes it suitable for processing details.
"Il Suonatore di Cuori", like every work by Andrea Serra, being sculpted by hand, is unique and signed in engraving by the artist.
Presentation
Andrea Serra is a sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally. In addition, his art has been featured in publications such as Ville e Casali. Serra cites nature and its forms as always having fascinated and inspired him.
He also allows himself to be overwhelmed by emotions and feelings, which is another source of inspiration for his pieces. He exclusively employs stone found in the lower part of Salento, which is rich in fossils.
