Description
This unique artwork skillfully combines geometric shapes and contrasting materials to create a captivating composition. Dominated by translucent green circles and rectangular segments, it evokes a stylized city or a castle perched on an abstract hill. The colored glass materials add visual depth and luminosity, creating a fascinating play of light that reflects different shades of green and blue. Presentation
Dominique Combe is a stained glass artist passionate about color and light.
With a sculptural approach to stained glass fixed on slate bases, this artist deliberately attempts to modify the classic approach to Tiffany stained glass.
These Totems are born from this union of stone and glass.
Each Totem is unique. It is the result of an idea, a memory or a message... never the result of chance.
After several regional and national exhibitions, several of his Totems are now around the world: Dubai, Spain, Mexico...
For two years the French Senior Golf Open, which is held each year in Paris at the Saint Cloud golf course, has entrusted him with the creation of the official trophies.
In 2022 Dominique Combe received the “Certificate of Merit" from the Luxembourg Art Prize. She was also one of the artists selected for the Salon des Artistes Français which was held from February 14 to 18, 2024 at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris.
Each Totem is signed by engraving on the bottom of the stained glass window.
