Description
The sculpture plays with balance and tension, like a silent challenge to the laws of gravity.
At its base, a metallic blue ovoid shape, shining like a balloon filled with liquid air, captures the light and subtly reflects its surroundings. Its smooth, almost mirror-like surface gives an impression of organic softness, contrasting with the geometric volumes that rise above it.
Positioned seemingly off-balance, a slightly tilted white cube introduces a break in the composition. Its clean, matte, pure edges contrast with the glossy roundness of the base. The juxtaposition is striking: the rigor of white against the sensuality of blue.
At the top, a hollowed-out square frame, also white, appears to float. Tilted on one point, it creates a dynamic, almost unstable interplay of angles, as if suspended in a frozen moment. Between void and matter, fullness and hollowness, the work explores oppositions: heavy and light, industrial and playful, rigid and flexible.
The whole forms a fragile yet assured architecture, a poetic construction where geometry meets breath — as if air and form were negotiating an intimate balance.
Presentation
In each sculpture, Sagrasse places a fragment of humanity, an emotion kneaded into the material, like a breath that crosses time.
Born in 1966 in Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy, Sagrasse has dedicated his life to sculpture for over thirty years. Driven by a constant passion for material and form, he has developed an artistic language that is both contemporary and profoundly human.
His works are exhibited throughout the world, in galleries, private exhibitions, and spaces dedicated to art. This international career reflects a recognition acquired over time, driven by the sincerity and strength of his work.
Sagrasse's creations address contemporary and universal themes : ecology, social ideologies, and the relationship between man and his environment. His sculpture thus becomes a space for reflection, where consciousness and aesthetics, questioning and emotion intertwine.
