Description
This majestic violin, adorned with a myriad of shimmering gold crystals, is an ode to the symbiosis between music and visual art. Each sparkling facet captures the light, projecting a luminous aura that evokes both richness and elegance. The violin's delicately sculpted body rests on a contrasting black base, accentuating its prestigious appearance. Red details at the base add a surprising touch of dynamism, breaking with the golden harmony and captivating the eye. This masterpiece transcends its simple instrumental function to become a decorative work of art, merging boldness and sophistication. The piece reinvents the classic object, adorning it with captivating visual opulence. The result is a vibrant tribute to creativity, where form and light meet to delight the senses.
Presentation
Born in Zurich in 1968, Boris Dondé-Mancastroppa began his career as a professional footballer before dedicating himself entirely to the world of art in 1996 — a passion inherited from his uncle Daniele, a pioneer of Faux Art.
Boris enriched his artistic vision through international experience and his studies at the New York Academy. Over time, he has reinterpreted and evolved the artistic language of his uncle and mentor, breathing new life and a contemporary direction into the movement at the dawn of the new millennium.
After nearly twenty years managing galleries and organizing international events, Boris officially took over the DondeArt brand in 2020, following his uncle's retirement. Today, Boris Dondé is the active artist and creative director of DondeArt Gallery, presenting and promoting works worldwide through permanent spaces and temporary exhibitions in Europe—including Monte Carlo, Zurich, Basel, and Lugano.
