Description
This carved wooden artwork presents a symphony of geometric patterns and harmonious curves. Each section is finely crafted, combining concentric circles, parallel lines, and flowing arcs. The rich texture and interplay of light and shadow bring captivating depth to the surface. The meticulously polished wood reveals warm hues, highlighting the design's complexity. The central element, a golden rectangle, draws the eye, creating an intriguing focal point. The whole evokes both a sense of order and dynamic movement, inviting the viewer to endless visual exploration. The contrast between straight lines and curves suggests a harmonic tension, making this piece both energetic and calming. This masterpiece demonstrates remarkable technical mastery and artistic sensibility, transforming a simple wooden panel into an immersive visual experience.
This piece was made from solid Douglas fir panels and is part of the "Door" series.
Presentation
Working with wood means working with a living material that has its own history. Find the right essence, the one that will speak to us, find the technique, the one that will adapt to it, blend into it to magnify it and make it vibrate. This is the quest of my approach. The one who is passionate about the journey and not the result…
In my creations, I wish to keep this link to the natural beauty of the material to be able to dive into the waves of the annual rings, to find the force of the elements there and to place my personal story there so that it resonates with this raw material, which she sings a dual score.
Working with wood is for me an ode to nature, to the elements, to the living; where man finds his place, in a wave that goes beyond him.
