Description
Urban art meets the codes of luxury here. This resin sculpture reinterprets the reassuring image of childhood through a contemporary prism. The teddy bear becomes the support for a reflection on our consumer society.
The work is distinguished by a play of striking contrasts. Motifs of prestigious brands cover the silhouette. Logos intertwine with shades of deep green and black. The glossy finish accentuates the relief and sophistication of the object.
The artist uses symbols of prestige to question our relationship with appearances. The child's gaze mixes with an affirmed Pop Art aesthetic. This piece combines the softness of a familiar form with the rigor of fashion codes.
The visual rendering evokes a precious collectible object. The structure rests on a balance between innocence and opulence. The whole is characterized by the use of dark pigments and golden details.
Presentation
Naor is a French artist from Lyon born in 1988. Completely anchored in his time, he has always traveled a lot around the world. If travels form youth, Naor was inspired by it. From the top of his thirty years, he succeeded in retranscribing his observations, his feelings and his impressions. Thanks to his childlike supports, his contemporary details, he achieves a delicious harmony between softness and violence. This discrepancy constitutes his identity. Like life, marked by hardship, his works refer us to our own experiences. Finally, the use of luxury brands in a spirit of "Pop'art" allows him to pay homage or to denounce the way our societies function. Naor interprets the world with his child's eyes.
