Handle With Care Blue, 2026

This sculpture immediately captures the eye with its striking contrast between the universal softness of the teddy bear and the aggressiveness of its spiked covering. Its electric blue chrome finish, with iridescent reflections, transforms light into a multitude of shades ranging from deep turquoise to intense cobalt, giving the work an almost living presence.

The body is entirely covered with conical spikes of different sizes, distributed precisely over the entire silhouette. Despite this spectacular armor, the emblematic features of the bear remain intact: the round ears, the generous snout, the shiny little nose, and the delicately drawn eyes retain an engaging expression. This duality between innocence and protection constitutes all the strength of the piece.

The raised arm, in a gesture that evokes both a salute, an invitation, or a celebration, brings dynamism and a touch of humor. The highly reflective surfaces capture their surroundings, making the work evolve with variations in light and different viewpoints.

Both pop, contemporary, and resolutely sculptural, this creation questions the notions of vulnerability, defense, and resilience. Behind its playful appearance lies a true armor, a symbol of how everyone builds their own protection against the world. A truly characterful piece, it fits as well in a contemporary interior as in a collection of art dedicated to pop and street art universes.
