Description
The stainless steel launches in an aerial movement. This sculpture explores the tension between force and lightness. A central sphere seems to be held by ribbons of metal in full rotation. The raw material transforms here into a fluid and pure curve.
The work on luminosity creates a constant play of reflections. The shades glide from white to black according to the surrounding lighting. The composition evokes a natural breath, an energy that calms after chaos. The balance is mastered to suggest a suspended instability.
The minimalism of the structure emphasizes the precision of the gesture. Each line guides the eye towards the top of the piece. The object rests on a flat and sober pedestal. This 2026 work combines industrial rigor with mineral poetry. The polished surface reflects the image of the surrounding space.
Presentation
Energy of Movement, Mineral radiance, Balance of composition
Guillaume Roche creates stainless steel sculptures with powerful lines and aerial movements. The artiste, graduated from the National School of Applied Arts of Paris, is born in France and works in his studio near Paris.
His search of form is based on the transformation of raw material. Energy and eruption are the key words of his works, while his shapes are purified and softened by the erosion of time.
Stillness after the storm!
A mineral spirit blows on his sculptures. The life bloods of nature are his source of inspiration: chaos of stones, ever changing winds, camaieux of the sea, clear or violent skies. From his works comes out a sense of ultimate poetry. His mastership of evanescent colors and the luminosity of stainless steel shaded from white to black are to be noted. His works, with its controlled stability are right at the limit of fulcrum and invite us in a world where duality is pacified.
