Description
This wall sculpture plays on the codes of Pop Art and fashion. The artist détourns an ephemeral and childlike object to transform it into a permanent object. The balloon, a symbol of lightness and dreams, is embodied here in the rigidity of the ceramic.
The work relies on a marked contrast between the suggested fragility of the form and the solidity of the chosen material. A deep, glossy blue envelops the piece, creating a mirror effect that catches the light. The logo of an iconic fashion house is inscribed in white, affirming the object's belonging to an imaginary linked to prestige and luxury.
The whole explores the link between childhood desires and the social aspiration for success. The precision of the execution highlights a rigorous aesthetic search. This creation, made of ceramic and acrylic, is part of a contemporary approach where brands become cultural icons. The work dates from 2026.
Presentation
MVR (Massimiliano Ventura Rigante) was born in Turin in 1991.
He has always been passionate about drawing and at these twenty years he began an artistic career. Mainly engaged in painting, his subjects are cartoonist and Disney comic book characters, which he skillfully mixes with the most iconic luxury brands. Continuous research which reveals how much the human soul always needs our childish side, made of dreams and pleasure, the same which, when we grow up, makes us desire "the good life". Currently its market is international.
