Description
Pop art takes hold here with a symbol of lightness to question the codes of luxury on-site. This wall sculpture distorts the image of a ceramic balloon to embody a desire for pleasure and carefree abandon.
The rounded and smooth shape evokes an apparent fragility, contrasting with the rigor of the material used. The cream color, soft and neutral, serves as a background for the black inscription of an iconic fashion house.
The work on the material brings a glossy finish that captures the light. The artist plays on this contrast between childhood, represented by the balloon, and the social aspiration linked to prestige brands.
This piece precisely combines the finesse of ceramics and the vibrancy of acrylic. The ensemble creates a visual dialogue between contemporary art and the world of fashion.
The object is fixed to the wall, letting the black thread fall naturally to accentuate the floating effect. The composition ends with the delicate attachment of the balloon, the focal point of the volume.
Presentation
MVR (Massimiliano Ventura Rigante) was born in Turin in 1991.
He has always been passionate about drawing and at these twenty years he began an artistic career. Mainly engaged in painting, his subjects are cartoonist and Disney comic book characters, which he skillfully mixes with the most iconic luxury brands. Continuous research which reveals how much the human soul always needs our childish side, made of dreams and pleasure, the same which, when we grow up, makes us desire "the good life". Currently its market is international.
