Description
This ceramic sculpture détourns an ephemeral object to make it eternal. The white balloon, a symbol of lightness and childhood, becomes a luxurious support here.
The artist plays with the codes of contemporary fashion. Red inscriptions wrap around the sphere. The letters intertwine in a graphic rhythm close to Pop Art.
The contrast between the purity of white and the intensity of red attracts the eye. This work explores desire and pleasure. It unites the nostalgia of childhood dreams with the social aspirations of adulthood.
The technique mixes the precision of ceramics with the finish of acrylic. The object retains its inflated and fragile appearance while asserting its material solidity.
This wall piece is part of an international approach. It underlines the close link between art and iconic brands. The sculpture ends with the small delicate bow at its base.
Presentation
MVR (Massimiliano Ventura Rigante) was born in Turin in 1991.
He has always been passionate about drawing and at these twenty years he began an artistic career. Mainly engaged in painting, his subjects are cartoonist and Disney comic book characters, which he skillfully mixes with the most iconic luxury brands. Continuous research which reveals how much the human soul always needs our childish side, made of dreams and pleasure, the same which, when we grow up, makes us desire "the good life". Currently its market is international.
