Description
This resin sculpture explores the codes of Pop Art and Street art. Two astronaut figures, an adult and a child, appear in a protective posture. Their white and pearlescent suits capture the light with precision. A headphones surround the helmet of the taller one, suggesting sound immersion.
The eye is immediately drawn to the heart-shaped balloon. Its pink and violet hue brings a touch of chromatic softness. The handwritten inscription on the balloon emphasizes the affective theme of creation.
The whole rests on a minimalist black base. The technical details, such as the use of plexiglass and epoxy paint, ensure a smooth and contemporary finish. The artist's signature appears discreetly on the character's clothing.
This piece plays on the contrast between the technical aspect of the space equipment and the tenderness of the family bond. The bottom of the boots is highlighted by a thin orange band.
Presentation
Fred Morgan, a French artist born in 1973 in Gap in the Hautes-Alpes region, creates a vibrant and intensely colorful pop universe where sculpture, painting, and digital graphic design intertwine. A rebel with a tender heart, he draws his inspiration from the rock and pop energy of the 80s, as well as the lively culture of DJs. His work subverts conventions, plays with insolence, and asserts total creative freedom. His most emblematic works, often inspired by the provocative "FUCK" motif, humorously and brilliantly question the role of expression and attitude in contemporary art.
An instinctive and resolutely modern artist, Fred Morgan imposes an immediately recognizable style, between assumed impertinence and chromatic joy.
