Description
Impertinence is invited into this sculptural object. The artist détourns an iconic figure from popular culture to make it a symbol of creative freedom. The resin becomes the support of a chromatic explosion. A solar gradient, ranging from deep pink to acid yellow, envelops the silhouette.
The movement is captured in a dynamic surge. The character seems to emerge from a dark background, supported by a minimalist base. The work on epoxy paint brings a satin sheen that accentuates the volumes.
The spirit of street art is infused into every detail. The style merges the energy of pop art and the boldness of urban codes. This piece plays on the contrast between the immediate recognition of the subject and the subversion of its attitude.
The whole rests on a transparent plexiglass support. The sculpture is made of resin and epoxy paint.
Presentation
Fred Morgan, a French artist born in 1973 in Gap in the Hautes-Alpes region, creates a vibrant and intensely colorful pop universe where sculpture, painting, and digital graphic design intertwine. A rebel with a tender heart, he draws his inspiration from the rock and pop energy of the 80s, as well as the lively culture of DJs. His work subverts conventions, plays with insolence, and asserts total creative freedom. His most emblematic works, often inspired by the provocative "FUCK" motif, humorously and brilliantly question the role of expression and attitude in contemporary art.
An instinctive and resolutely modern artist, Fred Morgan imposes an immediately recognizable style, between assumed impertinence and chromatic joy.
