Biografie

Shelby ist ein britischer Künstler, der 1987 in Gibraltar geboren wurde.

Im Alter von 17 Jahren wurde die Werkstatt seines Vaters, ein Marmorbildhauer, zu seinem Experimentierplatz für verschiedene Materialien wie Marmor, Holz und Gips. Später zog er nach Chelsea, wo er die Straßenkunst und die Popkunst entdeckte, aber es war die Reliefkunst, die ihn wirklich faszinierte.

Zwei Jahre lang besuchte er Kurse an der renommierten New York Academy of Art, was seine Berufung festigte.

Als erfahrener Reisender kreiert er heute lebendige Leinwände, die direkt von ikonischen Figuren der Popkultur, Superhelden oder Prominenten der 60er Jahre inspiriert sind, alles in einer zeitgenössischen Ästhetik.

Der Künstler schafft seine Werke hauptsächlich auf Metall oder Plexiglas und präsentiert sie in prominenten europäischen und amerikanischen Hotels. Derzeit hat er sich entschieden, ausschließlich in einer Galerie in Frankreich auszustellen und schätzt die einzigartige Verbindung zu seinem galeristischen Vertreter.
