    Artwork sold in perfect condition

Series of 9 works by Jespiro (anagram of José Pirès) with the main theme Pistil character of his own creation, halfway between the little prince of St Exupéry, the lovers of Peynet and other characters who have been in the star head.

The common thread between the 9 boards is the sky, the dreams, the reverie, the moon and the stars. The character Pistil, like the artist, asks questions about the world and human nature, and lies in the clouds and stars to escape from everyday life. This edition is the result of 9 original works by José Pirès, including 6 in Black & White, and 3 colorized by illustrator Lucie Firoud.

Each is drawn in 10 copies hand signed by José Pirès and numbered from 1 to 10 digits in figures by the artist.

They are framed in solid aluminum for an optimal visual result.

José Pirès

France Born in: 1955
Translation in progress

José Pirès paints, sculpts, engraves, cuts, draws silently or with music his own melody, his eulogy of the dream facing what takes it away from us. His creation sometimes search into myths and cult symbols. His oniric vision opens us intimate worlds, imagination mingling with memory a part of infinite. The artist explores the material and the bulks, the form and the color, searching for a grace.

Born in Nîmes, french and bresilian, José Pirès studied art in Rio de Janeiro before he came back to Nîmes Fine Art under the protection of Claude Viallat. His topics concern myts, signs, symbols and hints of the past. He often represents mythology and scenes where human gets along with sacralized animal, forming the marked weaving of his poetical/philosophical artwork, half between memory and oblivion.
