Amy Leibrand

Born in: 1975

United States

Amy Leibrand is an American photographer, born in 1975.

A conceptual artist, Amy uses photography and current technology to tell us visual stories. Leibrand mostly does self-portraits, as her body is her main medium to express her anxiety and doubts.

She uses her own body as the model and therefore owns it. This is a means for her to communicate her true emotions and confess. Due to this procedure, Amy is able to shape her work as the creator and use it as her theme. According to her, self-portrait gives her the chance to reflect her emotions on photo and then share them with the public.

Amy Leibrand's work can be seen in several exhibitions from Miami to Berlin, it is often highlighted in well-known publications.
