We are pleased to announce our upcoming exhibition this fall: Moment of One Second by Yasuo Kiyonaga.
Each work in this series consists of a photographic triptych of street photography in Kyoto.
The theme explored in this series reflects one of the artist's central interests: the ambiguity of human memory.
"It is said that what we perceive as 'now' actually happened 0.5 seconds ago."
To visually and artistically convey this present moment, the artist captured images in the city with a one-second exposure.
This long exposure reveals traces of light and the flow of passersby's movements, as if time were flowing in our memory.
16 pieces, including unique pieces, will be exhibited.
