Biography
Johannes Zacherl paints.
He paints with "voracity", setting everything around him on fire. Every thing, every sign becomes a pretext; they are immediately converted into lines, colors, surfaces, " depths ".
Life is short, emotions are intense, he must transmit them immediately and without delay.
His movements are precise, powerful, but remain subtle and determined. His movements are ample and the colors resonate, mix and combine under his brush.
The canvases are immense, they flood the available space, it becomes impossible not to enter the worlds created and implied by Johannes Zacherl.
The act of painting itself becomes a consecrated dance... The worshipped idol is interchangeably a woman's body, a pair of shoes, a flower, a fish.
He dances all around his model, admires it in all its aspects, feels it, soaks himself in it, then, finally, jumps, sketches, sends back, bursts, projects himself, like a brawler... It' s as if his life depended on a clumsy brushstroke, a lapse of concentration, a moment of inattention.
His works are part of many public and private collections. His acts as a painter make each creation the expression of an outpouring of emotions and artistic expressions.
Preferring large formats which allow him a more obvious freedom of gesture and movement, he transmits, through his works, the energy, the poetry and the force which animate him.
