Description
This work of art is a ceramic vase in an ash blue. It comes in a slender cylindrical shape. On its surface, finely sculpted patterns evoke an aquatic landscape, incorporating elements such as boats and waves, evoking movement and harmony. A woman playing the zither sets the rhythm and makes the different moving elements dance. The serene blue of the vase contrasts with the slight variations in color that accentuate its irregular reliefs and attracts curiosity. This unique piece reveals a transparent enameled interior that shows the beige colors of the chamotte clay.Characteristics of the work:Stoneware ceramic vase made with a slab and coil with a white French chamotte clay.Illustration of “The woman with the zither" used for this vase. The vase is enameled with a blue-green glaze with beige-yellow tones on the outside.
