Description
This pen drawing is captivating by its graphic intensity. The line, radical and instinctive, sculpts a female nude that stretches in a dreamlike landscape. The composition plays on a sharp contrast between the white of the paper and a deep blue.
The body integrates into an organic environment where shapes repeat. Curved motifs evoke waves or roots, creating a hypnotic visual rhythm. In the background, animal silhouettes and stylized trees observe the scene.
The approach is raw art. The absence of formal research gives way to the pure expression of the unconscious. Each line acts like an inner engraving.
Created in 2023, this creation prioritizes authenticity over technique. The gaze of the mysterious figures reinforces the narrative tension of the scene. The whole unfolds in a monochrome palette where blue saturates the space.
Presentation
Self-taught and instinctive, MAÏ has been exploring the realms of human expression for fifteen years. Portraits, bodies, faces: over the years, MAÏ has sought less to represent than to capture raw emotion.
After a silent pause, confinement acts as a catalyst. Drawing emerges, immediate, unfiltered. Pens, markers, and ordinary paper become her instruments. Color is intuitive and impulsive.
Her gesture becomes more radical: black and white dominates, the line becomes an inner engraving. Abandoning all formal research, she allows autonomous works to emerge, where the unconscious expresses itself freely.
For her, art is not about technique, but about authenticity. Each creation is a journey, a fragment of an inner truth that the viewer is invited to extend.
