Description
The image unfolds like an instinctive narrative. The line, raw and direct, captures a palpable tension. In the center, an animal figure with bright colors dominates the composition. Its sharp teeth and fixed gaze establish a climate of urgency.
Around this presence, female silhouettes emerge. Their faces, with neutral expressions, contrast with the agitation of the background. A text bubble brings a narrative dimension, transforming the drawing into a diary page.
The background evokes a dense city. Architectural blocks repeat on a deep blue background. This geometric repetition frames the organic chaos of the foreground.
The choice of tools reinforces the immediacy of the creation. Acrylic, marker, and ballpoint pen intertwine to create sharp contrasts. Deep black saturates the space, while pink and red energize the scene.

Self-taught and instinctive, MAÏ has been exploring the realms of human expression for fifteen years. Portraits, bodies, faces: over the years, MAÏ has sought less to represent than to capture raw emotion.
After a silent pause, confinement acts as a catalyst. Drawing emerges, immediate, unfiltered. Pens, markers, and ordinary paper become her instruments. Color is intuitive and impulsive.
Her gesture becomes more radical: black and white dominates, the line becomes an inner engraving. Abandoning all formal research, she allows autonomous works to emerge, where the unconscious expresses itself freely.
For her, art is not about technique, but about authenticity. Each creation is a journey, a fragment of an inner truth that the viewer is invited to extend.
