Description
‘Flying’ is a large figurative oil on canvas painting of square format created by Vietnamese artist Nguyen Quang Huy in 2012. Featuring a cold palette made of blue, white and grey tones, the painting draws us in with its dreamlike quality tinted with a melancholic touch.
The deep blue background is the perfect setting to highlight the ethereal presence of a female nude angel figure. Facing us directly, her face symbolized by a large mouth, she extends her wings backwards as if ready to take off while we are left to admire her perfect breasts.
We are the direct witnesses of a dream state. With its nice proportions and cold palette, this unframed square format oil on canvas figurative painting, signed lower right, will bring a mysterious presence to any home, perhaps placed above a bed, sofa or console table.
