Description
A face emerges subtly from a vaporous background. This figurative composition plays on erasure and transparency. The gaze seems to get lost in a fog of white and pearl gray. Only the lips, of an assertive red, capture attention. They anchor the subject in a tangible reality.
The mixed technique brings a tactile dimension to the canvas. The artist superimposes acrylic, pigments, and ink to sculpt the material. The line fragments. The paint fades to make way for a dreamlike atmosphere. This approach transforms the portrait into a study on fragility and absence.
The light diffuses uniformly over the entire support. It creates a play of light shadows that define the contours of the face. The chromatic balance rests on a minimalist contrast. This painting, created in 2021, relies on a free and experimental gesture. It is distinguished by its airy treatment and punctual touches of color.
Presentation
Self-taught painter Myriam Bourianne explores art as a realm of freedom. Free from academic constraints, she has built her universe on experimentation and a dialogue with materials. Her work defies categorization: from expressive faces to landscapes, from vibrant flowers to abstract compositions, she seeks above all to capture the essence of emotion. To bring her visions to life, she layers and blends acrylics, pigments, and ink, creating plays of transparency and depth. The use of materials is central to her approach: she sculpts the paint as much as she applies it. Each canvas is an invitation to experience the poetry of the moment.
