Description
In this work the artist is totally out of his comfort zone through simple lines, textures We see ourselves in it as well as the place we are in. The viewer and his environment are part of the work. the mirror effect, more ghostly, you can see it without really seeing it. Who am I? is it me ? I know it without knowing it… These questions are addressed to us without our knowledge. Beyond the rigorous construction, the forms appear to us rough, with doubts and repentances. The simplicity of the forms contrast with the very elaborate materials, a desired duality which leaves one to think while looking at himself The artist did not want to erase anything from his work, nothing is acquired The obstacles encountered are visible and help us understand the creation process and its requirements.
Presentation
If painting has never been a choice for me but has emerged as a necessity, it took me a long therapy and a lot of time to accept myself and define myself as an artist.
It was never enough for me to "put on the habit" to stick to the role, the trials that life imposed on me as on everyone, will have made my journey a long and difficult apprenticeship, or only the need has been the driving force, against and against everything that surrounded me, my education and my current possibilities.
The fight is my dynamic, and today it allows me to never again question what I am made for, going beyond any common reason.
